Model 45DR Intercom Interface

The Model 45DR Dante to 2-Channel Party-Line Intercom Interface is designed for applications that utilize 2-channel analog party-line (PL) intercom technology. This type of intercom is commonly used in broadcast, corporate, and commercial applications where a simple, reliable, easy to use solution is desired. The RTS® TW-series of 2-channel intercom equipment is directly compatible with the Model 45DR. The Dante® audio-over-Ethernet media networking technology is used to transport the two send and two receive audio channels associated with the party-line circuit. Two hybrid circuits with automatic nulling provide excellent audio quality and high return-loss. (These hybrid circuits are sometimes referred to as 2-wire to 4-wire converters.) The Model 45DR is compatible with the latest broadcast and audio equipment that uses Dante technology. An Ethernet connection is all that’s required to make the Model 45DR part of a sophisticated, networked audio system.

A Model 45DR can interconnect with devices such as matrix intercom systems, DSP processors, and audio consoles. The Model 45DR is directly compatible with the RTS ADAM® OMNEO® matrix intercom network. Alternately, two Model 45DR units can interconnect by way of the associated Ethernet network. The Model 45DR can be powered by Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) or an external source of 12 Vdc. A party-line power source and impedance termination networks can be supplied by the Model 45DR, allowing connection of user beltpacks such as the popular RTS BP-325. A Model 45DR can also connect with an existing powered and terminated intercom circuit. Audio level meters provide confirmation of system performance during setup and operation. Support for transporting call light signals between Model 45DR units is also provided.

Standard connectors are used for party-line intercom, Ethernet, and DC power interconnections. The Model 45DR’s enclosure has a “1/2-rack” 1U form factor and weighs less than two pounds, making it well suited for use in portable applications. Alternately, using one of the optional rack-mount front panels, one or two Model 45DR units can be mounted in a single space (1U) of a standard 19-inch rack enclosure.

Model 204 Announcer’s Console

The Model 204 Announcer’s Console offers a unique combination of analog and digital audio resources for use in broadcast sports, eSports, live event, entertainment, and streaming broadcast applications. The unit is housed in a compact, rugged steel enclosure that’s intended for table-top use.

Calling the Model 204 “cute” or “cool” would be accurate; it’s nicely proportioned but diminutive size makes it ideal for use in space-constrained locations. The Model 204 supports Dante® audio-over-Ethernet digital media technology with AES67 compatibility for integration into contemporary applications. The unit is extremely simple to deploy, is “pro” quality throughout, and provides an intuitive user experience.

The Model 204’s audio quality is excellent, with low distortion, low noise, and ample headroom. Careful circuit design and rugged components ensure long, reliable operation.

Model 215 Announcer’s Console

The Model 215 Announcer’s Console is designed to serve as the audio control centre for announcers, commentators, and production personnel. This tabletop unit supports applications utilizing the Dante® audio-over-Ethernet media networking technology. The Model 215 is suitable for numerous applications including on-air television sports broadcasting, stadium announce, and corporate AV.

The unit integrates all on-air, talkback, and cue audio signal routing in one compact system. Three pushbutton switches allow the user to control the main and talkback audio output channels. Ease of use, configuration flexibility, and sonic excellence are some of the unit’s highlights.

Model 371A Intercom Beltpack

The Model 371A Intercom Beltpack begins with the features offered by 2-channel broadcast-style party-line intercom user devices then adds support for traditional single-channel headsets. Applications that have traditionally deployed single-channel analog party-line intercom systems from firms such as Clear-Com® can now easily upgrade to a high-performance dual-channel system.

To maintain compatibility and user familiarity, legacy headsets that use a 4-pin female XLR connector are directly compatible.

Model 362 Listen-Only Beltpack

The Model 362 Listen-Only Beltpack is a self-contained 2-channel user device that supports headphone monitoring of two audio channels associated with the Dante® audio-over-Ethernet media networking technology. Each Model 362 is intended to be used by one user, providing them with the form factor, reliability, and features needed to be effective in a variety of applications.

It’s expected that most applications will use multiple Model 362 units to support the individual audio monitoring needs of a group of users.
